The Competition is divided in 2 categories:
- Category A. Candidates with no type of Diploma in Piano Performance (Undergraduate, Bachelor, Master, Doctorate, Professional, Graduate, Postgraduate, Specialist, or other equivalent Degrees). These Candidates may enroll in the B Category in the event of them wanting to compete with Candidates who hold a Diploma.
- Category B. Candidates with a Diploma in Piano Performance (Undergraduate, Bachelor, Master, Doctorate, Professional, Graduate, Postgraduate, Specialist, or other equivalent Degrees). These Candidates may not enroll in the A Category.
The possession or not of the study degree, to choose the right category of application, is to be considered on the opening date of the preliminary round.
